AIM OSPE/OSCE Lab — ENT Module | 4th Year MBBS
About Course
AIM ENT OSPE/OSCE Lab is a practical, exam-focused course designed for 4th Year MBBS students to master the essential clinical examination, procedural, instrument-identification, interpretation, communication, and diagnostic skills included in the KMU ENT curriculum.
Students will practice focused KMU-aligned OSPE/OSCE stations covering ENT history taking, examination of the ear, nose, oral cavity, oropharynx, larynx and neck, otoscopy, tuning-fork tests, balance assessment, anterior and posterior rhinoscopy, indirect laryngoscopy, hearing assessment, audiogram and tympanogram interpretation, ENT instruments, airway and tracheostomy skills, investigation interpretation, and patient counselling. These areas directly reflect the KMU clinical schedule, which assesses examination, procedural and interpretation skills through OSCE stations.
The lab also covers sore throat and tonsillar assessment, dysphagia-related procedures, hoarseness and stridor, ear discharge and hearing loss, nasal obstruction, and neck swellings, mirroring the major clinical themes of the KMU 4th Year ENT module.
Each station is structured to help students develop a systematic examination sequence, recognize important clinical findings, identify instruments and investigations, interpret common ENT images and test results, perform key procedural steps safely, and answer high-yield viva questions in an OSPE/OSCE format.
AIM OSPE/OSCE Lab turns the KMU ENT clinical curriculum into a structured, visual, station-by-station preparation pathway for practical examinations.
