  • Enlist common infectious diseases affecting the population of Pakistan as per the National Institute of Health Pakistan.
  • Explain the effects of climate change and seasonal variation on specific diseases globally and in Pakistan.
  • Explain the role of personal hygiene and PPE in infection control.

Carriers, Reservoirs, Disinfection and Communicable Disease Control

  • Define disease carriers.
  • Explain reservoirs of infection.
  • Differentiate sterilization from disinfection.
  • Explain the types and procedures of disinfection.
  • Discuss communicable-disease control measures aimed at the agent, host and others, including administrative and vector-control measures.
